The Team

A very personal service

Tim Croft

Tim Croft

Tim started Island Seafare in 1991 from the Isle of Man, the home of one of the finest shellfish fisheries in the world. Originally processing seafood that was locally caught, the business grew rapidly and started expanding into the UK and European exports. Over time, Tim’s international contacts grew and more of his time was involved in sourcing and supplying to major European supermarket chains. This was the bedrock of the business it has become today and Tim is often travelling the world to monitor, manage and source the finest shellfish from around the world.

Away from work, and when he has the time, Tim loves nothing better than to play 18 holes of golf on the village Rowany Golf Club, watch international rugby, go sea fishing and delight friends and family with his renowned seafood cuisine.

Nick Pledger

After a career in marketing with international financial institutions, Nick joined the Island Seafare team in 2011 and has rapidly become a key contact for many international clients and suppliers. Nick has done much to promote the highly acclaimed Manx Queenie shellfish – and was responsible for helping create a national festival to celebrate the pure seas around the Isle of Man.

With a young family, Nick doesn’t have the time to enjoy his many physical outdoor pursuits, but you will find him getting out to sea for some fishing, watching international rugby with Tim and enjoying a pint or two of the local ale!
